The painting is sealed by Wada Gesshin: 閦
Wada Gesshin (or Gosan) was a student of Mori Tetsusan (1775-1841), who was a student of Maruyama Okyo. He took Buddhist orders in 1841 after the death of his wife. About 1854 he became head priest of Jinko-in monastery in Kyoto. – Certificate of authenticity on the box issued by Tokuda Koen.
